"A Few Friends: Work by Pat Sean Sullivan"
2001-07-12 until 2001-08-12
San Diego Art Institute
San Diego, CA, USA United States of America

Pat Sean Sullivan is the featured artist in the exhibition entitled: A Few Friends. With the inauguration of the San Diego Art Institute Press and as part of the developing Mentors Program, a monograph entitled: Pat Sean Sullivan - A Retrospective, will also be released on July 12, 2001. The San Diego Art Institute Press is a program to publish monographs to highlight the work of important artists involved with the San Diego Art Institute over the years. These publications will serve to promote living artists work in addition to creating quality academic publications.

This program goes hand in hand with the Mentors Program, which is currently being developed. Through this program, one-on-one mentorships and structured workshops, youth and emerging artists may access successful, established artists/art professionals for concentrated guidance and advisement.

These programs, the San Diego Art Institute Press and the Mentors Program are part a larger program at the San Diego Art Institute, which is The Professional Artist Series. This consists of a myriad of programs that are developed to assist in the artist’s development. Lectures by successful artists, dealers, collectors and art professionals are offered to address the professional development and practices of artists. Critique panels provide artists with specific feedback on their artwork providing much needed constructive input. Workshops on artist’s materials and techniques are designed for the growth of all artists. These lectures, panel discussions, seminars, and workshops are essential to meeting the educational needs of our artist membership and the local/regional arts community.
