Insights 2001, now in its twelfth year, sponsored by Rose Resnick LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired, will run from July 11-September 2, 2001 in the lower level of San Francisco City Hall. Insights 2001 provides a venue to an important segment of the community - the artist who is blind or visually impaired. These professionals, like all artists, view the world in unique ways and present that view through their art. Painters, sculptors, fabric artists and photographers are all represented in the Insights 2001 exhibition. Each individual piece demonstrates that a visual impairment is not an obstacle in the creation of unique, original and beautiful art.
