In this exhibiton the paintings, mainly abstract imagery in oil on canvas, reflect a wide array of humanitarian emotions such as joy, sorrow, frustration and sensuality of life. The display is an insight and journey into the heart and mind of the artist.
The paintings are done with an abstract manner, so that they are free from narrative basis as much as it is possible and are therefore able to evoke feelings in each persons
mind or point of view without being associated with a piece of reality.
Ismo Jokiahos intention is to create timeless and silent scenes; scenes that contain many moments; scenes of eternity. This artwork is the artists way of expressing thoughts and feelings. Viewers can use his/her own imagination and feelings to interpret the paintings and (if possible) to enjoy them in their own way.
