"Call for Entries: 7th National Juried Art Exhibition"

HCC-Arts (Highland Cultural Center), 54 Vineyard Ave., Highland, New York
12528, seeks entries for its 7th National Juried Art Exhibition to be held at
the HCC-Arts Gallery on November 2001. The National Juried Art Exhibition is
open to all artists. Original two dimensional works in any style and medium,
are eligible.
Juror: Mr. Cary S. Levine
Mr. Levine works in the Department of Painting and Sculpture at The Museum of
Modern Art in New York. He assists the Senior Curator there, concentrating on
contemporary art, both curating and acquisitions. He is also in his final
year of coursework in the Ph.D. Program in Art History at The Graduate Center
of the City University of New York, specializing in 20th Century European and
American Art, with a focus on the postwar era. Mr. Levine has also worked at
the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, Italy, and was the Assistant
Director at the Tobey C. Moss Gallery in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Levine
has participated in various symposia and lectures, most recently delivering a
paper for Space Tactics: Modern Meditations on the Third Dimension, at Yale
University in New Haven, Connecticut.
