The Ohio Art League is pleased to announce its August 2001
Member Curated Exhibition, ...for the time (being) curated by Clinton
King. This site-specific installation features a collaboration of Justin
Blair and Clinton B. K. King, two artists who paint.
For this exhibition the
artists will transform the gallery with experiments concerning sound
including multiple sound and motion sculptures and their visual effects.
The exhibition will open with an artist reception at the Ohio Art League
Gallery, 954 North High Street, during the Short North gallery Hop,
Saturday, August 4th, from 6-9 pm.
The Ohio Art League invites it’s 500+ artists to submit a
short written proposal to the Exhibition Committee. Exhibitions can be
thematic, retrospective or otherwise. A proposal includes and outline for an
exhibition describing the idea, well thought out and presented with visuals.
The proposals are reviewed by a committee of League members, and are
selected based on the exhibition idea. Once a proposal is approved and
scheduled the committee does not interfere with the integrity of the
exhibition.
The Ohio Art League is a nonprofit member organization dedicated to the
presentation and support of Ohio based artists. The gallery is located at
954 N. High Street in Columbus’ Short North. The gallery is open to the
public every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12 -5 pm. For
more information please contact Linda Gall at 614-299-8225.
