"The Arts Guy's SUITS: The Clothes Make The Man"
2001-08-18 until 2001-11-04
Museum of Fine Arts, Houston
Houston, TX, USA

Known as The Art Guys, Houstonians Michael Galbreth (born 1956) and Jack Massing (born 1959) are a collaborative duo who have captured the public's imagination for more than two decades. The Art Guys' SUITS: The Clothes Make the Man showcases their most celebrated project, which takes a hilarious look at the intersecting worlds of art and commerce.

Inspired by the increasing visibility of corporate sponsors at athletic competitions and well aware that public support for the arts is dwindling, The Art Guys decided to sell advertising space on their own bodies. That's how the Suits project was born, and this exhibition salutes The Art Guys' inventive adventure as living billboards.
