Indepth Arts News: "A Taste of Life: Recent Works by Anna Winestein" 2001-09-04 until 2001-09-29 Connolly Branch, Boston Public Library Jamaica Plain, MA, USA United States of America
An emerging artist, Ms. Winestein, works in
a variety of media ranging from pencil drawings to
pastel and oil paintings. She has participated in
numerous juried shows in the Boston area and New
York including the 72nd National Show of the
American Artists Professional League (AAPL) at the
Salmagundi Club in NYC; Blue, a show juried by the
Beal curator of contemporary art at the Boston Museum
of Fine Arts; the Juried Student Show at the Copley
Society of Boston; and the Arts Festival of Boston.
Ms. Winestein has also had several solo exhibitions
around the Boston area. An interview with her,
accompanied by reproductions of two works, was
published in American Artist magazine in 1999; more
recently, feature articles about her and interviews
with her were published in the BU Bridge and several
local newspapers in Boston. Ms. Winestein is a member
of numerous professional artist associations including
the AAPL and the Copley Society of Boston. Only 18
years old, she is a Trustee Scholar at the Boston
University School for the Arts. More information and
