"Marine Hugonnier"
2001-10-23 until 2002-01-20
Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea
Santiago, , ES Spain

Marine Hugonnier (Paris, 1969) makes us an artistic proposal of time, her time. A time that breaks all references to physics – a time that could be all times. In Impact. 21.05.99, 11:02, a film reversed in time, she begins with the reaction of the spectators to this impact – a reaction to an event that will only be revealed at the end of the video.

In Diamond. 18.11.99, 0:00, it is the time of a lighthouse, which in the distance, keeps turning incessantly, back and forth, illuminating us, blinding us, only to plunge us into darkness. In The Highlights Series. Sky Cycle. 14.06.00, 8:45, it is the time of a child who is repairing his bicycle in a park in London; he stares into this camera that has invaded his life.
