The exhibition features original little-known photographic work by the great Swedish playwright August Strindberg, from the Strindberg Museum in Stockholm, including portraits and self-portraits, domestic interiors, experiments with imagery and abstraction, and with photographic technique.
In conjunction with the exhibition, a festival of films based on Strindberg’s plays will be presented January 17-22. In addition, a symposium August in January: The Visual Strindberg will take place on Thursday, January 24, 6:30 pm.
