"NSA Annual Christmas Exhibition"
2001-11-25 until 2001-12-30
NSA Gallery
Durban, , ZA South Africa

In keeping with tradition the NSA Shop is set to top the mark as the Festive Season shopping destination of choice. Gloria Hoff and Gail Wellbeloved have mounted a national search of trade fairs, suppliers, crafters, makers and inventors to assure that a huge selection of homeware, artworks, gifts and collectables will be available to the Durban public during the month of December.

Be sure not to miss this event, as we also offer a shopping experience with a conscience - all proceeds generated during this time will be ploughed back into the organisation, a registered welfare organisation! Furthermore we support local artists and craftspeople - keeping the chain of creativity alive.

Two Evenings at the NSA

Thursday 13 December and Thursday 20 December, until 8:30 pm

Two special events are being organised at the NSA Gallery for the holidays. Collaborating with the Arts Cafe, the NSA Complex will be open to the public for two nights in December. Make use of this opportunity to come and relax in the restaurant outside, entertaining supplied by the popular “King Boy’s” choir and browse through the special stock displayed for the annual Christmas exhibition.

A special menu will be prepared by Ralph Bronzin of the Arts Cafe for these two occasions, and in keeping with the quality fare available at this establishment, promises to be outstanding. A full bar will also be available.

SEE-EAZI!

Sunday, December 2

Usually on the last Sunday of every month the NSA Gallery, in conjunction with the Arts Cafe, invade every possible inch of space (stoops, driveways and pavements) between the Davenport and Ferguson Roads with quality artwork. A diverse range of Durban artists are given the opportunity to showcase their goods at a nominal fee – creating the only outdoor event of its kind in Durban. For the December event we will host the artfair on December 2, from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm.

ACTIVITIES FOR THE DAY

Children’s activities and entertainment for the whole day will be organised and overseen by Lisa and Melissa of SoulLite Centre. They keep the little ones occupied with relaxation and breathing techniques, stretching and stamina, colour craft, nature exploration and movement extension while parents relax in close proximity at the Arts Café. A small fee of R10.00 will be charged. Three sessions of half an hour each will commence at 11:30am, 1:00pm and 2:30pm.
