"Remember me"
2001-12-01 until 2002-03-09
Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane
Brisbane, QL, AU

Remember me is a series of six installations which explore the potential of photography for experiencing loss, desire, memory and subjectivity. In the past Fereday has combined sculptural installation and photography as a way of exploring the effects and experience of the photographic medium and its illusions.

Remember me will involve a number of new installations of mundane or domestic objects which are transformed through the application of light, not unlike the process of photography. The format of the installations, rotating every 2 weeks will provide a different experience of the gallery/exhibition enabling more subjective/active dialogue between the work and the audience. Susan is the IMA's inaugural artist in residence and will be available for interviews throughout her time here. susan will also be holding workshops for teachers and students.
