"Bill Lundberg: Syntax of Illusion"
2001-12-14 until 2002-03-02
Contemporary Arts Museum Houston
Houston, TX, USA

A number of film-based installations dating from the 1970's to the present by Austin- based artist William Lundberg will by presented in the 131st Perspectives exhibition. An influential installation artist, Lundberg began actively exhibiting again after a long hiatus and his work has been seen in shows in America, Canada and Europe over the last few years.

The Houston project will be a re-emergence for the 1970's work which has not been seen since that time. Additionally, Lundberg will create a new work especially for this exhibition. Organized by the Contemporary Arts Museum, the exhibition is curated by Associate Curator Valerie Cassel. It will be accompanied by a Perspectives-format catalogue with an essay by Cassel, a checklist, reproductions of exhibited work, and documentation of the artist's career.
