Body Stories is an installation about asking questions, and searching for answers. It is about discovering the misconceptions that we have been led to believe about our bodies and our sexuality. Gina Cestaro and Stephen Sheffield have collected audio interviews or body-biographies, from men and women, created and collected imagery and built an environment consisting of four wooden books and four large photomontages.

What are the forces that range against us- What are the forces that range within us- How did our body image develop, and how does it change throughout our lives.

From each book emits looped audio clips collaged from the interviews, and behind each are the large photomontages with imagery quilted in a grid pattern. This is an ongoing investigation for the artists, with interviews and imagery continuing to grow.
