"The 14th London Contemporary Art Fair Opens Today"
2002-01-16 until 2002-01-20
ART2002 London Art Fair
London, , UK United Kingdom

Featuring one hundred leading galleries from throughout the UK, ART2002 represents a unique overview of the British art market. Exhibitors are rigorously selected by an independent advisory panel to ensure the quality of the works on show, which cover the full range of paintings, drawings, sculpture and prints. START, a special area now well established at ART2002, will feature a carefully selected group of younger galleries showing the latest work by talented newcomers.

ART2002, The 14th London Contemporary Art Fair, will run at the Business Design Centre from Wednesday 16 January to Sunday 20 January 2002.

There will be a Charity Private View Evening on Tuesday 15 January to raise funds for the Whitechapel Art Gallery.

Lucy Field, Fair Director, said: The role of London as a centre for the discovery of new talent and the growth of the London Art Fair, generating in excess of £12 million in sales, now places it amongst the top five art fairs in Europe and the most important in Britain. We will continue to work with our exhibitors to develop a new generation of collectors.
