Some of the greatest European artists to put pen to paper are represented in this exhibition of old-master drawings. It highlights the collection of distinguished art historian Dr. Alfred Moir, showcasing European masterworks from the sixteenth through the nineteenth centuries.
Included are fine examples by Annibale Carracci, Pietro da Cortona, Luca Giordano, Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, Francesco Solimena, Salvator Rosa, Abraham Bloemaert, and Simon Vouet.
The exhibition presents a selection of works from the personal collection of Alfred Moir, an avid and active collector for over three decades. A pioneering scholar in the field of baroque art, Alfred Moir taught art history and connoisseurship at Newcomb College of Tulane University and the University of California, Santa Barbara.
