"The 14th Annual Works On Paper Show to Open for Preview Today"
2002-02-27 until 2002-03-03
Sanford L. Smith and Associates Ltd.
New York, NY, USA United States of America

Sanford L. Smith and Associates is pleased to announce that the 14th Annual Works on Paper show will take place in its original location – The Park Avenue Armory. Smith notes, The past six months have been extremely difficult for everyone. We hope that a return to the Armory with the Works on Paper show will signal a turning point in the art economy with successful shows in the future for all.

Hailed by the New York Times as a great visual adventure, and the most important art show of its kind, Works on Paper presents all levels of collectors the opportunity to enhance their collections. First time buyers can peruse offerings of lesser-known and more affordable artists, while seasoned collectors will find rare works by the major artists, from old master to contemporary. For the first time, a preview to benefit Citizens Committee for Children of New York (CCC) will open the event on Wednesday, February 27th from 6-9PM. The evenings proceeds will go toward the organizations efforts to provide a voice for children who have no voice, especially low-income children and children with special needs. For 57 years CCCs programs have combined the best features of public policy advocacy with citizen activism. CCC is New Yorks only locally-based multi-issue child advocacy organization. For information please call 212-673-1800 ext. 21 or 23.

In addition, on Thursday February 28th, the American Diabetes Association will host a gala reception in the Tiffany Room from 5 to 8pm. For information call 725-4925 x 3406.

Daily admission to the show is $15 and a 3-day pass is $35. A catalogue will be available. For more information or for student or group rates, call Blair Voltz at 212.777.5218.
