The Leonard & Bina Ellen Art Gallery of Concordia University is pleased to present the exhibition Tribute to Yves Gaucher, a celebration and tribute to one of Canada's preeminent artists and a long-standing member of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Concordia University.
A radical printmaker and masterful painter, Gaucher practiced modernist abstraction at a level rarely achieved anywhere in the world for its sense of grace and precision. This exhibition is a celebration of Yves Gaucher as an artist, a teacher and an important member of the Concordia community. In addition to two of his own works, this exhibition features works by his colleagues, friends, and students. Included are Betty Goodwin, Jana Sterbak, Christian Knudsen, Marc Garneau, Danielle Blouin, Antoinetta Grassi, Brigette Radecki, Marc Séguin, Vladimir Spicanovic and Jennifer Lefort.
