"Open"
2002-08-06 until 2002-09-07
Association of Photographers Gallery
London, , UK United Kingdom

The AOP Open is as it sounds - an open competition for anyone with a love of photography. Now in its third year, the Open is one of the few major photographic competitions accessible to everyone. This year we received over 850 entries from professional and amateur photographers alike.

The aim of the competition is to celebrate the diversity and accessibility of photography and promote its role as an artistic medium. A respected panel of judges from the photographic, editorial, design, and advertising industries had a tough task judging this yearŐs entries in the search for outstanding imagery. The selected 100 images will now be exhibited at the AOP Gallery between 6 August - 7 September 2002.

The Best in Show winner will be announced on the opening night and presented with the brand new Olympus iS 5000 35mm camera kindly donated by Olympus.
