Indepth Arts News: "Call to Artists: Second Annual National Drawing Exhibition" 2002-09-04 until 2003-02-05 Fred R. Kline Gallery Santa Fe, NM, USA United States of America
Open to all artists residing in the US. Representational, Abstract, and Expressionist drawings are equally encouraged. The exhibition is limited to original drawings on paper, in traditional mediums and mixed media, with no restrictions on subject matter.
Slide Entries and Fee
Slides (3) must be 35 mm, 2" x 2", no glass, to fit standard slide projector. Slides must be clearly marked with "top", "front", and the artist's name, title of work, medium, and number as listed on the entry card. Maximum framed size is 48 x 48, minimum framed size is 8 x 10. Artists are encouraged to send a resumé for consideration in future exhibitions. Send a #10 self-addressed, stamped envelope with $.55 postage along with slides, application form and entry fee of $30.00 for three slides. Entries should be made payable to Fred R. Accepted Work
After work has been accepted, drawings must be suitably framed with Plexiglass only, and hanging wire (no sawtooth hangers). Please, no substitutions and no changes in the sales price as stated on the application. Work can be hand delivered or shipped. Shipped work must be sent prepaid in strong, reusable containers. Work will be returned at artist’s expense shortly after the close of the exhibition via the same carrier.
Cash Awards
Cash Awards for Excellence will be given to the jury's choice of the three best works.
Jury
Work will be juried by a committee of selected established artists and art professionals, including owners Fred and Jann Kline. The gallery will be selecting work for this exhibition as well as previewing work for inclusion in future shows, for the online contemporary art links under development at http://www.klinegallery.com, and for gallery representation.
Liability Terms
Fred R.Kline Gallery, established in 1979, will take the utmost care with your artwork and will insure works on the premises during the show dates. Artists are responsible for shipping expenses and insurance coverage of work to and from the gallery. You must enclose, with your work or by separate envelope, a check and instructions for return shipping. In the event of a sale, your check for return shipping will be returned to you along with payment of the sale proceeds. Submission of an entry to this exhibition constitutes agreement of the artist to all terms and conditions in this prospectus. Fred R. Kline Gallery reserves the right to photograph and reproduce accepted work for promotional purposes.
Sales and Promotion
Fred R. Kline Gallery will retain a 40% commission on all sales directly from the exhibition. The gallery is committed to the promotion, development, and sale of the fine art submitted to this exhibition.
