"Call for Artists: 2003 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration"

The King County Office of Civil Rights is seeking an artwork to feature in its 2003 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration. King County is named after the civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and in tribute to his life and ideals the County sponsors an annual celebration for his birthday and national holiday. This celebration includes honored speakers, award presentations, arts performances and the distribution of a wall calendar.

One artwork will be selected that can be featured on items produced for the celebration including the calendar, public display boards, award certificates, the OCR 2003 annual report and a website.

The selected artwork will reflect the 2003 theme "Stride Toward Freedom."
