"Call for Artists: 2003 Artist Support Program, Writers Program and Gallery Residency Program"

The Artist Support Program supports local artists working creatively with sound. Eight selected artists are awarded studio residencies with a Jack Straw engineer. An additional ten artists receive matching awards for studio time as part of our Artist Assistance Program.

The Writers Program introduces 14 writers to the creative possibility of audio recording and provides them with a new venue for the presentation of their work through radio and the internet. The Gallery Residency Program commissions 3 artists/artist teams to create new works that include sound as a major component to be installed in our New Media Gallery. The respective deadlines are November 1, 8 and 15, 2001.
