Lemon Street Gallery presents, "A Drawing Invitational". Sixty-five local and regional artists were asked to be one of the first 35 artists to respond to a call to participate in a drawing exhibition. The only rules were that the piece had to be new work produced especially for the show, and the outside dimension had to be 16" x 20". Artists could choose any drawing media resulting in a wonderful variety of work.
Exhibitors include several art professors from Parkside, as well as Edwin Kalke, head of Carthage’s art department. Long-time Kenosha artist, Rollin Jansky, and the gifted Rebecca Venn’s work is included, as are many current and retired Kenosha and Racine Unified art instructors. Racine artist, Michael Nitsch, who has ties to the Wustum Museum, exhibits regularly in several Midwest galleries.
Visitors will find the variety of work pleasing with themes from whimsical to serious.
