"New displays: Into the 20th Century"

The Courtauld Institute Gallery will be transformed this Autumn by the display of more than one hundred important 20th century works of art on loan from prvate collections. The new displays, comprising magnificent paintings, sculptures and works on paper ranging in date from the 1860s to the 1960s will extend the permanent collection into the 20th century in great depth and quality.
New loans will include a group of over 30 Fauve paintings, including work by Matisse, Derain, Dufy and Vlaminck, as well as a selection of paintings and drawings by Kandinsky. The sculpture will include by Degas, Rodin, Maillol, Matisse, Laurens, Hepworth and Moore and will greatly enhance the Courtauld's existing collections.
