Indepth Arts News: "Call for Artists: City of Burien, Street Clock" 2002-11-08 until 2002-11-22 King County Public Art Program Seattle, WA, USA United States of America
The King County Public Art Program of Washington State is seeking artists residing in Washington, Oregon or British Columbia to create a Street Clock for the City of Burien, Washington. The clock will be located in downtown Burien as part of a comprehensive downtown revitalization plan and offers prospective artists the chance to interact with a city that is new to the public art process but eager to use public art as a tool for stimulating downtown revitalization and civic pride.
Three finalists will be paid $1,000 each to develop proposals. A design and implementation budget for the selected Clock proposal is $28,000.
