Artists - live and work in tropical Southern India Artists are asked to apply for residencies in Kerala, South India. Meet and exchange ideas/ techniques with local artists and artists from around the world.

This lush tropical  paradise offers a fascinating heritage of art and culture. The luxuriance in Kerala is visible in the beautiful white beaches and backwaters, its forests and wild life sanctuaries, its cardamom, tea, rubber and coffee plantations, its rice paddies and of course the famous palm tree.

Chitraniketan is conveniently located in a tranquil environment in the Kunnumpara foothills within walkable distance of the famous Kovalam beaches. Chitraniketan is just outside Kovalam village, which caters to all immediate necessities, including a small market for fresh fish and vegetables. Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala, is 20 minutes away and offers the artists all possible amenities.
