NURTUREart Non-Profit, Inc.
New York, NY, USA United States of America

NURTUREart Non-Profit, Inc. is pleased to present Fresh, a collection of projects by twelve emerging artists. Cleverly packaged in a pastry box that reflects its title, this portfolio contains a variety of artworks, each suitable for framing or display, one by each of the artists. Based on several projects undertaken by the Fluxus artists in the 1960’s, Fresh was curated by Leah Oates and Amy Wilson.

Released in an edition of 100 and attractively priced at $40, Fresh makes a fantastic gift for that hard-to-shop for person on your holiday list. The price increases to $50 as of January 1, 2003.

The artists chosen for this project are: Kristin Anderson, Sandra Bermudez, Stephanie Brody-Lederman, Will Crow, Rebecca Hackemann, Deidre Hoguet, Patrick Meagher, Keiko Miyamori, Hyungsub Shin, Yuken Teruya, Marina Tsesarskaya, and Peter Walsh. Several of the artists have received acclaim for their work and have been included in important exhibitions, including at the Museum of Modern Art, P.S. 1, the New Museum, Bronx Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art (LA); as well as the Holly Solomon Gallery, Lehmann Maupin Gallery, and Gasworks, in London.

Curators Leah Oates and Amy Wilson have independently curated other multiples projects which were subsequently purchased and collected by such cultural institutions as the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Rhode Island School of Design, the New York Historical Society, and the Joan Flasch Artist Books Collection at the Art Institute of Chicago.

Leah Oates is a Premiere Portfolio Artist with absolutearts.com.
