Gold Coast City Art Gallery is pleased to call for entries for the 2003 Gold Coast Ulrick Schubert Photographic Art Award. In 2002 the inaugural award was won by Tasmanian based photographer David Stephenson for his photograph entitled Szeged, Hungary, 2001/2002. The 2002 award attracted over 110 entries from which 47 artists were selected from all over Australia for the final exhibition. The Gold Coast Ulrick Schubert Photographic Art Award is an acquisitive art award and exhibition, concentrating exclusively on still photo-based media.

Works are to be exclusively photo based. Digital work will be permitted so long as the work has not been computer generated. The competition is open to all Australian residents.
