"Call for Artists: 7th Annual Toronto Photography Festival"

CONTACT is an annual month-long photography festival which takes place throughout the Greater Toronto Area during the month of May. The festival presents an extensive range of exhibitions and events reflecting the diversity of our participants from local, national and international communities. CONTACT is the largest annual photography event in North America and reaches an enormous audience.

Registration for CONTACT is open to anyone using a photographic medium. The registrant is responsible for all venue arrangements and exhibition installation requirements. Venue opportunities include galleries, photography galleries, private dealers/studios, public venues, restaurants, cafes and other alternative venues. We also welcome the use of non-traditional exhibition spaces. Exhibitions may open in April or close in June, but must include May exhibition dates.

REGISTRATION DUE: FRIDAY, JANUARY 31, 2003

FEE: CAN$400 plus GST CAN$28 = CAN$428.00

Registration provides the following benefits:

Exhibition Listing including one reproduction, in 50,000 CONTACT Festival Magazines (formerly known as the Event Guide) - distributed extensively throughout the Greater Toronto Area and exclusively to local, national and international press, art and photography organizations and collectors.

Up to 250 free copies of the Festival Magazine delivered to your venue.

Opportunity to submit proposal for exhibition feature in the catalogue section of the Festival Magazine. Please see information on submissions below.

Exhibition Listing including one reproduction on the CONTACT website. Fully searchable site by name and venue. Website provides media access for reproduction downloads. Over 500,000 hits were made on our website in April/May 2002 and activity continues to grow.

Extensive publicity and promotion of the Festival and all it's participants through: professional media services, e-broadcasts and mail outs. Over 167,000,000 media impressions in 2002 reflect an anticipated annual growth of 50% more publicity for the Festival.

Invitation to CONTACT information seminar on how to promote your exhibition, develop media profile and audience attendance. CONTACT poster for venue signage, provides prominent identification of your participation in the Festival.
