"Glass Fab: Three Exhibitions of Artists Working in Glass"
2003-03-12 until 2003-05-27
Gandy Gallery
Prague, , CZ Czech Republic

Following the three first GlassFab propositions made by Tobias Rehberger, Denis Santachiara and Vogt+Weizenegger, the Gandy Gallery present three new editions : glassfab.4 : secret - Joseph Grigely - speech bubble; glassfab.5 : paradox - Claude Closky - glasscone; glassfab.6 : nature - matali crasset - flower shower. Two years ago Nadine Gandy invited Matali Crasset to create a project for her gallery in Prague. In February 2002 she presented matalis 3Sunic2 project: a perfume diffusor in Bohemian cristal, produced with the support of A.F.A.A., fabricated by the Ajeto Glass Factory. During these exchanges and with the coordination of Nadine Gandy, the idea was born to create a collection directed by matali: fab. fab. is the collection of the Gandy Gallery, based in Prague, Czech Republic. It will totally involve the program for the Gandy Gallery from December 12 until August 2, 2003 ; a series of global exhibitions and editions. fab. illustrates our interest in exchange, encounters and in transversality: to decompartimentalize these practices.

matali crasset displays nature flower shower. matali crasset is an industrial designer, but her creations bring her to the unknown: from scenography to furniture, from graphics to interior architecture, she has a new glance on dailylife, which is open to experimentation. http://www.matalicrasset.com Flower shower is a domestical watering can - it takes the shape of a bottle like hybrid object. In its center a glass arborescence which is symbolized by the tree of life.

Joseph Grigely presents secret speech bubble. Speech bubble is 3 dimensions sculpture, an object from narration to reality. Graphic sculpture, a transparent bubble in crystal, a word bubble, its secret will be reveal by its crash.

Claude Closky created a paradox glasscone. Closky is certainly one of the most mysterious actors of the french scene. Using with pertinence one medium and after an other, questioning about image statute, play with it, making transfers and interpretations but always seeking meaning. http://closky.online.fr Pour Glassfab, Claude Closky has imagined Glasscone The first Glasscone in crystal we can suck. The ice cream crystal flavor for people who want balance and new sensations.
