"TRESPASSING: Houses x Artists"
2003-05-07 until 2003-07-27
MAK Center for Art and Architecture
West Hollywood, CA, USA United States of America

The two-part exhibition TRESPASSING: Houses x Artists (read "houses by artists")—co-organized by the MAK Center for Art and Architecture and Bellevue Art Museum—highlights nine new architectural projects developed in a joint effort between contemporary artists and architects Alan Koch and Linda Taalman of OpenOffice.

The projects engage the house as subject, investigating its forms, functions and significance while imagining a wide variety of prototypes for living. Presenting renderings, models, video and an interactive installation, the artists and architects explore new approaches to the form, space and construction of living environments.

Artists participating in the exhibition are Kevin Appel, Barbara Bloom, Chris Burden, Julian Opie and David Reed.
