"Call Artists: Ninth Annual Art Fair"

Hosted by the Telfair Museum of Art, the oldest art museum in the South, and held at Telfair Square in Savannah's world-renowned national historic district, the Art Fair features more than $5,000 in prizes, including an $1,800 grand prize award. The 2003 event will take place November 7-9. Entries must be postmarked by Monday, July 14. Notification of selection will be sent to artists on Wednesday, August 27.
The Telfair will accept 65 - 70 exhibitors in a variety of art forms, including but not limited to painting, drawing, graphics, sculpture, jewelry, pottery, photography, and furniture.
Judging the 2003 Art Fair is Elizabeth Fleming, executive director of The Gibbes Museum of Art in Charleston, S.C.
A $15 non-refundable must be submitted for each category entered. Each artist must send three slides of three different works for each category. Artists selected to participate in Art Fair must submit a fee of $35 for each category entered.
More than 10,000 area residents and upscale tourists visit this annual event, held under spacious lighted tents on the Square. Pre-event newspaper, radio and TV promotion help ensure great attendance; a fun, festival-like atmosphere prevails with music and activities for the entire family.
