"Call for Artists: 59th Annual Wabash Valley Exhibit"

The Swope Art Museum announces a call for entries for the 59th Annual Wabash Valley Juried Exhibition. The exhibit is open to all living artists working in any media who reside within a 150-mile radius of Terre Haute. Over $5000 in awards will be distributed.
This year’s juror is Larry Rinder, Curator of Contemporary Art at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York. Rinder received his MA in Art History from Hunter College, NY and has served on both the administrative and curatorial staffs of the California College of Arts and Crafts, Berkeley Art Museum, Walker Art Center, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Larry Rinder has curated numerous art shows including exhibits by renowned artists Louise Bourgeois, Richard Diebenkorn, and the prestigious Whitney Biennial. Widely published and respected, Rinder has taught at both Columbia University and the University of California, Berkeley.
Entries for the 59th Annual Wabash Valley Juried Exhibition may be dropped off at the Swope Art Museum between July 24 and August 3, 2003.
