Omma Center of Contemporary Art, located in Chania, Crete Greece is organizing a special Photography Workshop from 1 to 7 September 2004. It will be conducted by acclaimed OSCAR WINNING photographer and cameraman Walter Lassally, maker of over 60 feature films and 100 documentaries. Lassally believes that the foundation of excellence in cinematography is expertise in still photography, particularly black and white photography, and with this workshop, he literally returns to his roots.
Scope and Aim
The workshop is aimed at students who already have a working knowledge of photography and who are interested in extending and deepening that knowledge.
This will be a hands-on workshop, not a series of lectures. Participants will be asked to bring a conventional 35mm camera (preferably an SLR) with them and critiques of students’ work will be included as the workshop progresses.
