A signature annual event for the Center, the resident fellows are spending eight weeks working and living together during the summer of 2003 at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. This is the ninth consecutive year that the Center has offered this program. Each year four lathe artists, one furniture maker/educator, one scholar and one photojournalist from around the world are selected to join the program.

The annual International Turning Exchange Opening and Conference concludes the 2003 ITE residency program. Events will include the allTURNatives: Form & Spirit exhibition opening. This exhibit of the objects and statements produced by the ITE residents, and photos and a film depicting the ITE experience will be shown at the Wood Turning Center in Philadelphia. This exhibition, entitled allTURNatives: Form & Spirit, opened Friday August 1, 2003 and will tour to several other venues around the USA.
