"Call for Artists: NSPCA 50th Annual Exhibition"
2003-08-11 until 2003-09-10
Binney and Smith Gallery, Banana Factory
Bethlehem, PA, USA United States of America

The National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic (NSPCA) is inviting artists to submit entries for the NSPCA 50th Annual Exhibition. The exhibit, which will take place outside New York City for the first time, is appearing in the Binney & Smith Gallery of the Banana Factory, 25 W. Third St., Bethlehem, Pa., from Oct. 23-Nov. 30.

The NSPCA show is open to any artist working in the United States. The entry fee is $20 for non-members, and entries must be received by Sept 10. Works eligible for submission include casein, acrylic and egg tempera paintings that have not been shown in past NSPCA annuals.  Complete information is found in the prospectus, which is available by contacting the Banana Factory, 610-332-1300, or Douglas Wiltraut, 610-264-7472. The prospectus is also available by writing: D. Wels, Corresponding Secretary, National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylic, 1726 2nd Ave., #10, New York, NY 10128.

The NSPCA was founded to give artists the opportunity to exhibit works regardless of style, “school” or subject matter. It is the foremost national showcase for the two aquamedia, casein and acrylic.

The Banana Factory is a community arts center and gallery featuring 24 studio artists, community classrooms, a gift shop and more. The facility offers a wealth of community outreach programs, arts-in-education programs and classes and workshops throughout the year. Its mission is “to kindle, support and celebrate the artistic, cultural and creative spirit of the Lehigh Valley.”
