This exhibition of Paintings and Sculptures: The Different Strokes - Contemporary Indian Artists is orgainzed and presented by Visual Art and Vaishali Thakkar. Besides creating an interest in traditional and contemporary Indian art, Visual Art seeks to help individuals to develop their talent and potentials by providing them a forum for expression and appreciation. Artists include Anant Mehta, Bansi Khatri, Jagdeep Smart, Mahendra Kadia, and Nabibakhsh Mansoori.
Anant Mehta is a graduate in Fine Arts of M S University Baroda; Bansi Khatri has a Diploma in Drawing & Painting from C N College of Fine Arts, Ahmedabad; Jagdeep Smart has a Master’s Degree and has been awarded by UNICEF; Mahendra Kadia, who has a Diploma in Drawing & Painting, has been awarded by the Gujarat State Lalit Kala Academy, Art Theatre at Calcutta and National Fellowship of the Dept. of Culture; Nabibakhsh Mansoori has a Post Diploma in Fine Arts. His accolades include the Gujarat Lalit Kala Academy Award, Fellowship from the Ministry of Human Resources, Outstanding Young Person Award and the Bendre-Husain Scholarship; and Natu Mistry has a Diploma in Fine Arts. He has written dozens of books on Art and has done a series of landscapes in watercolours.
