Dublin Artist John Nolan well known for his up-beat colourful paintings, is launching his first exhibition of Abstract work at The Exchange Restaurant, The Westin Hotel, Dublin 2, Ireland, on Tuesday 4th of November 2003 at 6.00pm- 8.00pm, the show will continue until 28th of February 2004. For this show John moves away from his modern figurative style and explores colour, a favourite subject of his, in the Abstract form. The show displays work completed during a 7 month period, fuelled by a 30 year passion for colour.
The public are Familiar with his 30 foo tx 25 foot portrait of James Joyce, which covers the facade of no. 15 Ushers Island, Dublin City - The Joyce House - The portrait will remain there while the house is being restored.
John is one of the artists selected by The International Committee, to represent Ireland at The Florence Biennale, 6th-14th of DECEMBER 2003 at the Fortezza Da Basso, Florence, Italy.
