The San Francisco Art Institute is seeking new visiting faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate courses for 2004-2005 in the fields of Digital Studies, Filmmaking, Interdisciplinary Studies, Liberal Arts, Art History, New Genres, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, and Sculpture/Ceramic Sculpture. SFAI is committed to an experimental studio arts education in a cross-disciplinary environment.

MA/MFA and/or Ph.D. in relevant field and a minimum of two years teaching experience required. Applicants should submit a letter specifying the area(s) of interest, CV, slides or other documentation, course proposals or statement of teaching philosophy, and a SASE to the Dean of Academic Affairs, San Francisco Art Institute, 800 Chestnut Street, San Francisco, CA 94133. San Francisco Art Institute will be expanding degree concentrations in Digital Studies/Evolving Media. Artists/Performers sought to teach in: programming and interactivity, interfacing digital and analogue systems, sound art, digital video and imaging. Requires knowledge of the theoretical and historical implications of digital media as an art form and a critical perspective of digital media’s foundation in electronic design.
