Edinburgh Printmakers hosts its Christmas Exhibition, showcasing Edinburgh talent and featuring around 70 studio artists. Virtually all of the prints in the exhibition have been made on the premises at the UK's oldest open-access print studio. The Christmas Exhibition showcases the work of over 70 artists, it is the perfect opportunity to view the broadest range of artworks that make ideal gifts for Christmas and other special occasions.
The exhibition of invited artists ranges from internationally established artists including: John Bellany, Philip Braham, Alan Davie, Liz Douglas, Kate Downie, Paul Furneaux, John Hoyland, Albert Irvin, John Mclean, Eduardo Paolozzi, Gill Tyson and Donald Urquhart. Sarah-Manning Cordwell, recently appointed Head of Sales and Development, explains:
“This is our biggest annual exhibition. It not only demonstrates the exceptional depth of talent flourishing in Edinburgh’s artistic community, but also profiles artists from throughout the UK who are making exciting prints. There is something for all tastes and pockets. Prices range from £50 to £500, with the full spectrum of art genres; abstract, figurative, landscape and townscape represented. The breadth of print techniques used by artists who have different experiences has created a diverse exhibition in style and scale.”
Please note that the gallery will be closed from Tuesday 23rd December 2003 to Saturday 10th January 2004.
