In Manosque, a famous spot in French Provence, galerist Paul Matheron-Tourre presents a solo show by pol.knots with recent paintings and some objects. The Belgian artist developes his abstract mission with and underlining grid. A relation of tension appears between ambiguous forms and lines in a kind of antagonism between individual intentions and uncertainty.
These random and organized constructions are sustained by mixed media and techniques where thickness joins transparency and where paste proves to be glazes. As for the colours, they move from dark red tones to the softest of the spring yellows. The artist is mixing materials, ancestral pigments and henna, wood tint and Chinese ink. In Manosque, one will see, in addition, some object made by the visual artist based on carbon fibre.
