"The Neddy Project: Ty Moore"
2004-03-05 until 2004-03-27

Woolloomooloo, Sydney, NS, AU

TV Moore's NEDDY PROJECT is the result of three years of research and production exploring the lives and times of two of Australia's most notorious iconoclasts who coincidently share the same first name...'NEDDY'. One being Arthur Stanley 'Neddy' Smith, the infamous Sydney underworld figure who was as the height of his urban bushranging activity in the 1980's in Sydney.

The other Ned Kelly the famous masked outlaw from Victoria. Moore presents an epic ten-channel video cycle depicting abstracted moments of each Neddy's life. There are drawn out hand shakes at the tops of car parks, extended gun battles on cliff tops, she riders, cardboard cars and horses all moving as if Nolan's Kelly paintings have come to life under a collection of self-made haunting musical scores.

Moore creates an environment, which presents these two outlaws battling the sublime landscapes of urban and country Australia, creating a truly breathtaking and new vision.
