"Call for Artists: Positive Focus Reviews"
2004-04-23 until 2004-04-25
Positive Focus
Brooklyn, NY, USA United States of America

Positive Focus will bring a new opportunity for photographers in the New York area to have their best work seen and critiqued by top photo editors, stock agencies, photo representatives, gallery directors and art collectors in the field. Over 50 photo industry experts, primarily from New York City, will be available to you for portfolio reviews and professional advice. On Friday and Saturday evenings participants are invited to network with reviewers and other photographers at special events.

Positive Focus Reviews is open to all levels of photographers looking to refine their skills, define their artistic visions, and obtain professional guidance. Each participant will meet with 12 reviewers for 20-minute one-on-one review sessions. Participants will be given an opportunity to indicate their preferred reviewers, and Positive Focus will make every effort to match participants with their choice of reviewers. In order to take full advantage of the review sessions, photographers should be ready to present a tightly edited portfolio of approximately 20 to 24 prints representing a coherent body of work. For more information and list of confirmed reviewers, please visit the website, www.positivefocus.org.

Event fees are $495. This package price includes Mary Virginia Swanson Seminar, two days of portfolio sessions (twelve individual reviews), Friday evening reception and our Saturday night ‘Body of Work’ party. Registration is on sale through 2/29/04 for $425.00 (no other discounts will apply during this period). Partial financial aid is available.
