ISIS Art has several oppertunites available this Spring. ISIS initiates and manages artist residencies, productions and exhibitions, and works with approximately 80 artists a year on collaborative projects and events. It has a track record of providing quality arts projects to benefit individual artists, schools and communities alike, whilst promoting the professional status of the artist. ISIS has a digital facility serving artists in the region and energetically promotes an interdisciplinary approach to the use of new media in the arts.

Isis Arts New Media Commissions 2004

Fee: £1,000 inclusive

Isis Arts is seeking submissions for two new media art commissions, to be completed between May and September 2004.

Artists are invited to submit proposals for web-based or moving image work - one of each will be selected. Proposals for either new projects or the completion of works in progress are welcome.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: 5PM FRIDAY 23 APRIL

Hidden Rivers project

Fee: £15,000 circa 2 days per week
Timescale: May 2004 - July 2005

The Hidden Rivers project is a citywide series of public arts commissions marking the courses of streams, which flow beneath the city.

The Arts in Education residency will complement the public art programme and provide an exciting opportunity to work within schools and create work to commission around the project theme.

Creative Partnerships Sunderland: New Media Project

Fee: £2000 (per artist)
Timescale: May to July 2004

ISIS Arts are offering a number of opportunities for experienced new media artists to work creatively in education. They are looking for artists with a broad range of new media skills to work in schools in the Sunderland area.

Professional artists from all disciplines, and particularly digital technology, with experience of working in schools and a variety of community contexts to add to their database.

Freelance New Media trainers with experience of working alongside artists, with digital video editing, web site creation, Director knowledge, sound the current bank of trainers.
