MAIN Description of event.	In a beautiful yet disturbing piece, BEFORE THE ACCIDENT, a struggling white lab mouse is gripped by a latex-gloved hand as a syringe hovers overhead. Another lush painting, MOUSE DESCENDING FICUS PUMILA (creeping fig), captures a moment of peaceful introspection, calm among chaos, as a small dark mouse negotiates a steep descent of a wall of vivid green ivy. In the minuteness of their focus these paintings tend to open up possibility rather than define it.
