Indepth Arts News: "Call for Artists: The AOP Open" 2004-07-05 until 2004-07-23 Association of Photographers Gallery London, , UK United Kingdom
he AOP Open is one of the few major photographic competitions accessible to everyone. Professional, amateur, occasional snapper - all are welcome. The aim of the show is to celebrate the diversity of photography, and to promote its role as an artistic medium. Membership of the AOP is not necessary, and there are no set themes or categories - simply a search for outstanding imagery!
A panel of respected people from the photographic, editorial and publishing industries judge the entries and select a total of 100 images.These will be shown at the AOP Gallery´s Open exhibition from August to October. Prizes will be awarded for the judges´ "Best in Show" selection, which is announced at the opening.
