"Call for Artists: Residencies Available"
2004-07-30 until 2004-08-30
Raid Projects
Los Angeles, CA, USA United States of America

Raid Porjects is pleased to announce the expansion of their AIR program at Raid Projects. They will have two slots available for artists from around the world to stay in Los Angeles, to make work and present a solo show of their explorations. The residencies are open to all media and last from three to six months each. The last month is devoted to a solo show and for the artists to make connections and inroads into the LA art scene.

Both residencies include a seperate bedroom, a studio and involvement with the social aspects at Raid Projects. Each bedroom is about 15 feet by 15 feet and both studios are about 15 feet by 24 feet by 12 feet (high).

All selected artists are responsible for finding their own travel, material and general funding costs. We will help where we can with official invitations etc, but you will be soley responsible for your costs.

The cost to you will be $1400 per month for 2005. This covers studio, board, solo opening costs, publicity and running costs. The slots available are for Sept-Dec, 2004, and for 2005 we have single slots for Jan-March, 2005 and two slots open for the rest of that year.

To apply you will need to send a cv/resume, images, a proposal about what you will do while in residence and any other supporting material you think is relevant as well as your preference regarding how long and in which months you wish to be considered for. Please also state you alternative dates. Address to Max Presneill/Director at raidprojects@yahoo.com.
