If you are a musician, writer or visual artist and you need a place to escape to get creative work done, then the Mary Anderson Center is looking for you. Fellowships ranging from 30 - 5 days will be awarded this fall. Fellowships include a private room, studio space and all meals. Submissions must be postmarked by September 15, 2004. Announcements of recipients is tentatively scheduled for November 2004.

The following 2004/2005 fellowships are available:
MARY FOOTE MEMORIAL FELLOWSHIP offers a 30 day stay for a visual artist. The fellowship was created to remember American artist Mary Hubbard Foote.
DOROTHY NORTON CLAY MEMORIAL FELLOWSHIP offers a 30 day stay for a musician and/or composer.
SENA JETER NASLUND WRITING SCHOLARSHIP offers a 2 week stay for a writer of any genre.
BABS HARDY CERAMIC AWARD offers a 1 week residency for a ceramist.
WHIP MIX COPORATE AWARD offers a 1 week residency to a Kentucky visual artist.
STEPHANIE WHITE MEMORIAL AWARD offers a 1 week residency. This fellowship was created by family and friends to remember one of our former residents, Stephanie White.
ZONTA CLUB OF LOUISVILLE AWARDS offers a 1 week stay for a female writer and a 1 week stay for a female visual artist.
INDIANA ARTS COMMISSION STUDIO SATURDAY AWARD offers a 5 night residency for artists of all genres in exchange for their participation in Studio Saturday events.
NANCY BALLINTINE MEMORIAL AWARD offers a 3 night residency for a writer of any genre.
The Mary Anderson Center is located 15 minutes from downtown Louisville in the rolling hills of Southern Indiana. Our mission is to provide time and place for artists to concentrate and work. The Center is located on the grounds of the Mt. St. Francis Friary which is situated on 400 acres of wildlife preserve and wooded grounds.
