The Leo Baeck Arts Centre presents works by Nita Tiffaha Jawary in her exhibition entitled "The Perpetual Table". Nita is the daughter of Iraqi Jews living in Australila. She has a strong interest in Judeo-Babylonian culture and cuisine, which is reflected in the subject matter of this group of works. "The Perpetual Table" is a work in progress that includes a CD-rom is filled with stories and recipes to rival Tales of 1001 Nights.
The Leo Baeck Centre is the centre for Progessive Judaism in the eastern suburbs. The synagogue is located in Kew East.
They are a vibrant, warm and caring community committed to enriching the spiritual, religious, social and cultural lives of Jewish people.
