Museum of Digital Art and Curious Labs is honored to invite participants in the MAYAN TREASURES project that will reunite the work of recognized digital artists from around the world. MODA Museum of Digital Art and Curious Labs invites artists to be a part of this virtual exhibition, an open space for digital painters to show their latest techniques, concepts and perceptions about the Mayan culture reflected in their art pieces so they can be viewed by art lovers everywhere.
An independent panel of judges will evaluate entries according to the following general criteria:
Originality, content, style and perception and artistic interpretation of the Mayan Culture.
RULES
1) Digital artists, painters or illustrators will be able to participate. There are NO FEES or any charges to enter the contest.
2) An individual may submit two art pieces to the contest.
3) Image must be generated 100% in your computer. We will not accept digitalized images from oil, acrylic or mixed media paintings.
4) Entries must be the original work of the author or artist and must never have been published elsewhere.

- Computer-enhanced photography
- Fractal art
- Computer-drawn art
- 3D art
6) The coordinators reserve the right for publication in the Web.
7) Images have to be created within the last two years, copyright remains property of the author - artist.
8) Images should be sent by email to artsublime@yahoo.com and there are no returns. The file must be sent in JPG format ONLY, not bigger than 500 KB.
9) The entrant's name, nationality, title of the art piece and email address should appear on the e-mail sent, not just on the digital art painting.
10) Employees of MODA Museum of Digital Art and their family members are not eligible to enter the contest.
PRIZES
First place winner will recieve a permanent space in MODA's guest gallery, one copy of Curious Labs Poser 5, one copy of Poser Artist (downloadable software) and a CD full of Runtime DNA's 3d mayan treasures, including, textures, architecture, clothing, and accessories.
Second place winner will recieve a permanent space in MODA's guest gallery and one copy of Curious Labs Poser 5 (downloadable software).
Third place winner will recieve a permanent space in MODA's guest gallery and one copy of Poser Artist (downloadable software).
Winner of first, second, and third place prizes will be notified by December first of 2004.
