Constantine Ikon ArtStudio Gallery welcome to to "Poetry and Nature", an exhibition of romanian artist Constantin Plavitu on view through the month of October 2004. This is the first show of Constantin Plavitu at Constantine-IkonArtStudio Gallery and includes a small selection of acrylic on board paintings.
The landscape has ocupied the artist for almost a decade. Born in 1949 in Sovarna, Romania, Constantin Plavitu specializes in watercolor, pastel and acrylic painting. He is a graduate of Gheorghe Anghel School of Fine Arts, from TrSeverin, Romania, and in 1975 Master Degree in Law from the Law University of Bucharest, Romania.
The landscape has ocupied the artist for almost a decade. The series of "Haystacks" and Eggs'n Nest" presented to the public in this show are the most recent Plavitu's paintings. Their geometrically architecture reassemble the "archaic" connection between the earth and sky, time and space, and become under his artistic touch the grammar of his art.His paintings arise from emotional romanian peasant places which inspired foremost the romanian artists.
Constantine-Ikon Art Studio open its doors in the heart of an environmental space, giving the viewer a chance to browse the exhibition, celebrating the diversity of visual expression without making a special trip to a physical gallery. Constantine-Ikon Art Studio is a not for profit online gallery supporting national and international artists of all media.
